Contents
Sustainability is a task for society as a whole that requires the cooperation of a wide range of actors and disciplines. In cooperation with the Catholic University of Aachen and civil society partners, the various dimensions of sustainability will be examined and discussed in this lecture. Based on keynote speeches, current challenges will be discussed by cross-university and interdisciplinary groups and solution proposals will be developed.
Learning Outcomes
The course supports students in cross-university teams in developing their interdisciplinary competences. By discussing practical social challenges, the students will raise awareness to social problems by critically and actively dealing with social and societal responsibility. Moreover, the students can apply their knowledge in a practical case. Special attention is paid to the formation of networks from different disciplines and social actors in order to support the participants to develop their own code of action and thus generate actual impulses for action.
