City Walks: Florence (Part 2)

In our new podcast format, we take you on virtual cultural tours of various European cities together with Prof. Max Kerner. You can find additional information about the episodes in the show notes.

This episode kicks off with Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance. Landmarks such as the cathedral, Michelangelo’s David, and the Uffizi Gallery are world-famous, but all too often they are reduced to quick photo opportunities for social media. On our walk, however, we want to focus on the architecture, the builders, the inhabitants of the city, the historical context, and small but delightful anecdotes that make Florence so unique. In this second episode, we invite you to join us on our walk from the Church of Santa Croce to the Brancacci Chapel. We hope you enjoy listening!
