Sustainability and transformation are tasks for society as a whole, requiring cooperation between a wide variety of actors and disciplines. In collaboration with Aachen University of Applied Sciences and the Catholic University of Applied Sciences Aachen, this course examines and discusses the various dimensions of sustainability. Building on keynote speeches by various experts in the field of sustainability and transformation, current issues are discussed in an interdisciplinary manner.
The course supports students in inter-university teams in developing their interdisciplinary skills. Working on practical social challenges also aims to sensitize students to social issues by encouraging them to critically and actively engage with social and societal responsibility. Particular attention is paid to the formation of networks from different disciplines and social actors in order to support participants in developing their own code of conduct and thus generating actual impulses for action.
